Kandy is also well known as the center of Buddhism. Enjoy a walk around the Kandy lake and pay your respects to the Temple of the Lord Buddha’s Tooth Relic. Later in the evening attend a dance performance featuring traditional dances from the different regions of Sri Lanka.

From Kandy ascend to the tea plantation near Nuwara Eliya, specifically the Warwick estate. Break your journey at a local tea factory for a tour and a cup of freshly brewed Ceylon tea.

 Continue on your route and follow the trail until you will arrive at a cozy colonial bungalow.

For a complete experience of Sri Lanka’s panoramic mountains, travel just outside the town of Nuwara Eliya to the National Park of Horton Plains. Take a slow and steady hike which also features Baker’s waterfall. We recommend taking a picnic lunch before returning to the hotel and spend the day as you like. 

Continue your magical Sri Lanka honeymoon as you spend a lazy day at this private home. During the day proceed towards the picturesque town of Ella. Ella is a small village nestled in a valley peering straight through the Ella Gap and is surrounded by hilly countryside perfect for walks; through tea plantations, waterfalls.

On the way make a stop at Ravana waterfall.   The falls are quite impressive, and you can climb over some of the rocks to get a closer look. It currently ranks as one of the widest falls in the country. During the local wet season, the waterfall turns into what is said to resemble an areca flower with withering petals.

Spend the evening at leisure enjoying the amazing views from your room. 

Today morning enjoy a hike to the Mini Adam`s peak. Hike itself is a worthy experience as you walk through lush green tea estates, talking to locals who are plucking and collecting tea leaves, working in the estate.

It is not a challenging hike and it`s quite short, but gives you a good impression of the landscape around Ella and the view is fantastic. So absolutely worth the climb.

Later in the afternoon visit the Lipton’s Seat lookout in Haputale that offers one of Sri Lanka’s most impressive viewpoints.

One of Sri Lanka’s charm is that how in a short time you will pass from the hills to the meandering rivers, past the farms, then to idyllic coast of Wadduwa. Here you will be staying at The Reef.
